Today, I'm going to share with you the five CDC Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

These Guidelines are a terrific starting point for good health. There's a lot of information in them which is why I've provided you with a link in the event that you'd like to learn more.

For today though, I'm just going to share with you what the five guidelines are...
- #1: Follow a healthy eating pattern across a lifespan.
With noting that all food and beverage choices matter. - #2: Focus on Variety, Nutrient Density, and Amount.
With choosing foods across all food groups in the recommended amounts. - #3: Limit calories from added sugars and saturated fats and reduce sodium intake.
- #4: Shift to healthier food and beverage choices.
- #5: Support healthy eating patterns for all.
Everyone has a role in helping to create and support healthy patterns.
