Today we are going to go over five tools that can help you keep your grocery shopping on-track.

Impulse buying is easy to do at the grocery store but if you start to incorporate these five tools then you won't get derailed!

So let's get to it!...

  1. Take the time to plan your meals for the week. And remember to plan for healthy recipes and snacks.
  2. Make Your Grocery List from this plan...and follow it!
  3. Don't go to the grocery store hungry, rushed or directly after a workout. If you do, then more than likely, you will spend more money and buy less healthy foods.
  4. Shop the perimeter of the store.
    Not to say that you can't go in those center aisles because many of the healthy items are found there like whole grains and canned vegetables but generally, the highly processed foods are located in the center aisles and the healthier items around the perimeter.
  5. Avoid impulse purchases in the check-out line.

Grocery stores purposefully place items at the check-out line in hopes that you will make an impulse buy. So don't fall for it!
