Health Coaching

     A Coach's job “is to help an individual or a team get to a level that they cannot get to by themselves.” So as a Health Coach, I'm UR expert on human behavior, motivation and health. Think of me as UR “change agent" who can help U set and achieve UR fitness & health S.M.A.R.T.-E.R. Goals by building healthy lifestyle habits. 
     I support my Builders with any number of fitness & health challenges and goals with weight loss as a primary focus. The great thing is that as long as UR fitness & health S.M.A.R.T.-E.R. Goal has a beginning and end point, the Build UR Best U Building Blocks #1 - #5  method can be implemented to help U achieve it! 

Project Management Professional (PMP)

     The PMP is the gold standard of project management certification. Recognized and demanded by organizations worldwide, the PMP validates ones competence to perform in the role of a project manager, leading and directing projects and teams.

     As a PMP and an ACE Certified Health Coach & Fitness Nutrition Specialist, I merged my areas of expertise in Project Management and health behavior change so that U can successfully achieve UR fitness & health S.M.A.R.T.-E.R. goals. In doing so, I designed a systematic, data driven approach to reaching fitness & health goals -- Build UR Best U Building Blocks #1 - #5! All courses and one-on-one coaching sessions merge the "do more with less" Lean management philosophy and the Project Management and Six Sigma methodologies. This empowers U to improve efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction in once again attaining and this time sustaining UR fitness & health S.M.A.R.T.-E.R. Goals.

Below are terms that U will see used throughout Build UR Best U courses and one-on-one sessions:

Project:
A temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result. Further it states, that it has a defined beginning and end in time, and therefore defined scope and resources. And that it is unique in that it is not a routine operation, but a specific set of operations designed to accomplish a singular goal.

Project Management:
the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements

Project Management Institute:
the world's leading professional membership association for project management

Project Manager:  
the person in overall charge of the planning and execution of a particular project

Six Sigma:
A data-driven methodology for eliminating defects. The Six Sigma DMAIC [Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control] five-step problem solving approach is incorporated into a project. Seeks to improve the quality of the output by identifying and removing the causes of defects and minimizing variability (e.g. only produce 3.4 defects per million opportunities which would yield a 99.99966% success rate).

Lean:
A disciplined approach to achieving optimum performance by removing unnecessary waste from a project. identifies and eliminates non-essential and non-value added steps

Fitness Nutrition Specialist

     Fitness nutrition combines nutrition and behavior change for lasting results! Engaging in physical activity is essential for health and wellness, but it is only half the battle. Good nutrition is paramount to a well-rounded fitness routine and is a key factor in guiding U to live a healthier life. Understanding nutrition takes more than simply knowing what to eat. Knowing how to change UR behavior is critical to effectively develop habits that will yield positive Everlasting Results.
